Christianity is a fact; it is when dead men (in trespasses and sins) come alive in Christ. Being a Christian is not a matter of you just want to serve, neither is it that you just want to be blessed. It’s about believing in Christ and receiving what he has done for you.
John 3: 16 (KJV) For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3: 16 - (MSG) "This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life
As believers we need not to pray to make heaven, because Heaven isn’t a reward, it is the home of a Christian.
Glory to God, we are citizens of heaven now and this is achieved through the GOSPEL.
What is the Gospel? Gospel means Good-news, so what then is the good-news
1. Gospel of Life--- All men have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Jesus then stood in our place and died to make us alive in him. Therefore, God reconciled us to himself through Christ.
1 John 5: 13-14 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
2. Gospel of Grace-- This means God’s riches at Christ’ expense. Everything you have in Christ now is because of what Christ did. This is something you didn’t work for, your sins (past, present and future) been forgotten and you being a citizen of Heaven is because of everything Christ has done.
2 Corinthians 5: 14-19 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
3. The Gospel of Power – You are an offspring of the kingdom of power and God’s spirit dwells in you, so you have power within you. Basically all of God’s gifts can be classified in one word; he gave His Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:4 my message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power
4. Gospel of Righteousness – Righteousness is free because it’s a gift. Romans 5: 17
5. Gospel of eternal perfection - Hebrews 10:14
6. Gospel of eternal forgiveness of sin - Ephesians 1:7
7. Gospel of God’s unconditional love – Romans 5: 5; John 3:16
I am a product of Grace. I have the spirit of God in me and the benefits of Christ's sufferings and obedience. I'm thankful for this.
